The Treasure House Theatre is an 80 seater multi functional space housed within World Museum Liverpool. I manage the space, programme the events and line manage two demonstrators.Our aim is to interpret the collections and ethos of Wolrd Museum using a number of diferent methods.The theatre has a number of facilities ranging from a cinema size screen to stage lighting and we hold a diverse range of events such as dance and drumming workshops, films,conferences,Adult talks, live video links for members of the public,school and educationl groups, community groups and corporate events. We sit within the department of Community Partnerships so we are available for use by partner organizations.Weve run events for local festivals and national awarness days such as Liverpool Arabic Arts festival,Shark week, Refugee Action week, Black history month to name a few.

We produce in house live, multi media shows such as Death on the Nile a live interactive play about Ancient Egypt for key stage school groups primerily. Also a demonstration of replica Samurai Armour last year at Christmas we comitioned a new version of A Christmas Carol where Charles Dickens played all the parts.

This year for Darwins 200 centenary we produced a family show with music and puppets about Charles Darwins trip on the Beagle and how it influenced his theories. For younger children at weekends and school holidays we have Molly the friendly Blue Whale where very young visitors can join in the actions of the story telling.
